Free PINNACLE Senior Logic Challenge
NZ Years 10–13 · 12 questions · 24 points · Free
Explore formal reasoning through arguments, symbols, truth conditions, deductions, proof strategies and computing applications. No previous formal logic course is required; useful definitions are given in the questions.
Allow around 20–25 minutes. There is no countdown. Answer one question per page and go back to change an answer before submitting.
Work independently using paper if useful. Do not use AI, online search or a calculator. You may select 'Not sure yet'.
Notation: ¬ means not; ∧ means and; ∨ means inclusive or. P → Q is false only when P is true and Q is false. A valid argument cannot have true premises and a false conclusion.
This is an introductory PINNACLE learning activity, not an official ILO exam or selection test. Recognising a proof strategy is only a starting point; writing your own proof and a detailed six-skill profile require teacher review.
After the questions, a parent/guardian provides their own contact details. Submit to view your score, solutions and an optional Senior Logic course interest link.
